For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus – 1 Timothy 3:13
As set forth in the New Testament the Deacon is to be a servant of the church. As such, he is to serve with the Pastor and staff in performing ministry tasks; Deacons shall endeavor to promote peace, harmony and the spirit of cooperation among church members. Deacons shall assist in the preparation and serving the Lord’s Supper. A Deacon shall act as an advisor and assist the Pastor in advancing the general interest of the church.
